The department has republished its small and medium sized enterprises (SME) action plan. This sets out the activities that will take place to support SMEs during the department’s procurement processes. The action plan supports the government’s aspiration that 25% of spend goes to SMEs by 2015.
The updated action plan was signed off by Dr Daniel Poulter, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health and the department’s ministerial SME Champion, on 28 November 2012.
